Then click ‘Search’ with the mouse arrow.

The Advanced Search allows you search on more than one word or name simultaneously. Approximately 25% of our catalogues have been fully indexed so far with more being indexed all the time. To search indexed subjects or names click on the list button (). If you don’t find the person or subject that you are looking for try using the ‘Simple Search’ option

Subject Term:
Click the mouse arrow in the empty box
Enter the name of a subject for research, e.g. Militia
Then click on ‘Search’ with the mouse arrow

Person/Institution:
Click the mouse arrow in the empty box
Enter the name of person, or any corporate body, e.g. Dorchester Fishing Club
With personal names enter surname first, e.g. Jones, Israel
Then click on ‘Search’ with the mouse arrow
